Hong Kong International Museum day facilities will be free and open

   
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong said on 5th, will be held on May 14 and 15th Hong Kong International Museum day “2011 ”, then at all museums and many local cultural units will be free and open, Office for the public to visit its permanent exhibitions, and participation in a number of educational and promotional activities, deepen understanding of the local museum.    
This year there are more than 30 local cultural units involved in the Hong Kong International Museum day &rdquo “2011;, including the Hong Kong Museum of history and its dependent and its Museum, the Museum is Museum, Hong Kong Heritage Museum and a museum.     Kang Wenshu, Office for the public to visit its permanent exhibitions, and in a number of educational and promotional activities in order to deepen understanding of the local museum. Museum is one of the main functions through the collection of artifacts, to preserve the cultural heritage of humanity.
Each items is saved contains unique stories, International Museum Day theme this year is “ Museum and memories —— stories behind the objects ”, wishes to encourage the public to explore meaning of museum collections and precious memories.     International Association of museums since 1978, every year on May 18 as “ &rdquo for International Museum day;, to arouse public attention to the Museum. Leisure and Cultural Services Department since 2001 and will also respond to the international activities, and was held every year in May “ the Hong Kong International Museum day ”.
